Description
Muslin cloth is an unbleached, natural material making it ideal for use in the kitchen. Muslin is a finely-woven fabric often used when filtering stocks or consommes, making jellies or cheeses, or even filtering the sediment out of red wine and port before pouring it into a decanter. Muslin is also perfect for dressmaking: spring trousers, skirts, slacks, and dresses, and would also work up beautifully into home fashions.
This muslin fabric will last for ages, proving great value for money. Muslin is a reusable material if looked after properly. Rinse in cold water after using the cloth, and then machine wash with an unscented detergent. Muslin can be boiled to sterilize it.
This fabric is extra wide making it extremely good value for money.

Promptly dispatched and as described on the sellers page this is lovely muslin fabric, perfect for backing quilts. Once hand washed and dried it has a lovely soft crinkle and gives an authentic traditional look to hand or machine stitched quilts. I'm very pleased with this product and would buy it again.

This fabric is everything I hoped for. The cotton is high quality- few flecks- no slivers. The selvedge holds well with washing. Washing leaves a wonderful depth to the cloth and after handling there is a slight luster to it. Order generously depending on your project. I lost more than 20 inches in squaring the fabric (two ends) and of course the shrinkage is significant.
My project, curtains,is incomplete but attached is an image of the washed fabric to show texture.
